My name is Terria Nichols and I am the Owner of TerriaFit. I am certified as a Master Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well as the National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association.
Although my professional background is in Business Management, my passion is helping other women live their best life through fitness and nutrition. After gaining 70lbs in 2007 following the birth of my daughter, I turned to fitness, not only as a way to lose weight but to regain confidence and beat depression. In 2014, I left the corporate world behind and I’ve never looked back!
I worked 3 and a half years at 24 Hour Fitness in Fort Worth where I served as Assistant Fitness Manager, Master Trainer and Mentor before leaving in April 2017 to venture out on my own.
My goal is to help women gain confidence inside and outside the gym. I teach busy women how to balance proper fitness and nutrition with a demanding work and home life. I provide my clients with the necessary tools to create a fulfilling and balanced life.
I currently live in Fort Worth Texas with my two children. My hobbies include working out, traveling, reading, music, and art.
What clients should expect when they train with me: Clients should expect an experience every time they train with me. No cookie cutter workouts here, I enjoy getting to know my clients and building a motivating environment that sets my clients up for success.
My favorite exercise:This changes all the time for me but right now I enjoy single leg deadlifts because they are challenging!
My favorite healthy food: I love chickpeas, I could eat them all day. And of course, avocados!!
My favorite place to visit (so far): Cabo San Lucas Mexico
My favorite quote: “Stop expecting people to treat you better than you treat yourself”
My training philosophy: Fitness is a journey, not a destination. Make little changes, stay consistent, and stay balanced. When you get tired (and you WILL get tired) it’s okay to rest, but never quit.
